More than smile, I gave great laughs to my best friend, whose MS and other, massive health problems cause her enormous frustration in dealing with multiple doctors. This week alone, she has had appointments with her cardiologist, neurologist, allergist, and psychiatrist. She has had two new prescriptions -- one of which the pharmacy completely screwed up, and if anyone had just cause for self-pity, I believe she does.
But I hate self-pity and see it as destructive. Fortunately, so does she. So, today, I helped her set plants in her yard, furthering new life, and entertained her with jokes and songs and lunch. If anyone needs to laugh more, it's Beth. I even got her to laugh about migraines.

Absolutely! It's not a proper day unless I've exchanged smiles with someone. Today it was a friend in class. We're having a really hard time with a project we're doing, so we spent some time goofing off and blowing off some steam. We felt much better after our laugh fest!

Yes, I think it is important to smile at people. It is the decent thing to do, even if you feel sad! It costs you nothing but can make someone feel much better.

yes, i wore my favorite tee shirt that says: Do you fantasize about the UPS woman. An elderly woman smiled, and asked what it meant, LOL. She was still smiling when I told her so that was a good thing.

Yes. I attended a funeral and made the widow laugh with old family stories of sibling rivalry during the holidays and weddings-gone-awry.
