Being rich does not equal famous. There are many rich people that you and I have probably never heard of. Fame only comes when some person from the media starts paying attention to someone else. Then if other media people get interested in that same person then they start following them until that person is well known. For example Paris Hilton was not that famous a few years ago. Her family is well known because of their hotels and she started playing to the media and started modeling. Therefore she purposely threw herself into the spotlight and that is why she is famous now. If she had not tried to become famous then she wouldnt be now.

I'm sure a person is considered famous because they are popular, some have money and are famous, some have money but are not very famous. It has nothing to do with it.
