I'm not wanting to take my anti depressant anymore due to trying to have a baby. Is it not safe for me to stop cold turkey?

You shouldnt stop cold turkey, there are a lot of side effects to that. Speak to your doctor or OB, many women continue to take their anti depressants durring pregnancy. Unless the reason you were taking them in the first place is gone, stopping will take carefull consideration

It is best to NOT go cold turkey. You should stagger your doses, and eventually going to every other day, every 2 days, etc. If you start to experience major withdrawals, go back on.

YES....unsafe...make sure your regular doc talks to your OB. Ask one to call the other...this is EXTREMELY important. Many times two different specialists don't know certain things that you don't even know!

well, first u should talk to ur doctor besides arent u scared? cuz i take anti-depresant and my doctor told me that in 4 weeks im gonna have to see him again and depends how he sees me he will take them off and i am pretty damw scared!!!!

You need to talk with your doctor. at least, AD meds. must be decreased in dosage at controlled reduction rates.. C.T. is not an option.

Its not a bad thing to not take it, but mentally might hurt you in the long run.

No, but you can feel like crap if you do. Come off of it slowly.
