Actually the release date has not been released yet....their is a lot of speculation that it will be released on 7/7/07...but J.K Rowling has NOT given out a release date for her book.
It just so happens that July 7, 2007 is a Saturday. It just so happens that every Potter book since Goblet of Fire has been released on a Saturday and Rowling has hinted at the significance of the number 7.
It would be a wonderful marketing ploy....book number 7 released 7/7/07 and the next movie is to be released into theaters on July 13, 2007....It would be perfect timing but nothing has been set yet......sorry for the people that tell you they now because they don't as of now.....

Am I the only one who thinks it would totally ROCK if Harry came out on his birthday?
I've heard the same 7/7/07 rumors, but no one will know for sure until JK tells us herself. Keep an eye on her website to find out fastest. She always makes sure her fans know crucial information fast.
