hard days night yellow submarine magical mystery tour help or let me be

Yes, I thought they were funny. Not always laugh-out-loud funny, but more with the dry humor the British (and they) are known for. A Hard Day's Night jumps out at me. I could watch that movie every couple months.

It's been so long since I've seen Help that I don't recall what I thought. I do know it's a color film (ooh, ahh, right?), whereas Hard Day's Night is black &:white... and that's part of what makes the latter so pleasant to watch. Either of those two are probably your best bet for humor and watching the guys have fun.

I can't recommend Magical Mystery Tour if it's funny you want. That was interesting to watch, and had awesome music and accompanying scenes, but not much plot or humor that I remember. Even worse for Let It Be, though it's a fascinating (and depressing) look at one of the world's greatest bands coming apart at the seams -- and again, has great music. Oh, yeah, Yellow Submarine was fun, but I'd rather see the the real Beatles than animated ones.

It's hard for some people to know what the culture was like in the early sixties, unless they experienced it. A couple of the answers here demonstrate my point -- and their ignorance.

Enjoy!!

I liked Help. A Hard Days Night was okay but I haven't seen the others yet. In fact, I didn't know there was a Magical Mystery Tour movie. My sister might want to see that, she's a much bigger Beatles fan than I am.

J. J., if you like the Monkees, you might like Help.

Usually they played themselves on film. They may seem a bit lame now but they were good for time.

And original poster on the wall! Take care of it, do you know how much they're worth?
