i mean if you're going to give a joke answer, that's fine...but otherwise, please stop assuming everyone thinks the same way you do...
i mean you're answering a question in a general forum...say "in the christian tradition, we believe ____" or something like that...
i try to listen to what other people have to say, regardless of what they believe...however, i think it's much more respectful to not assume that others feel the same way you do...if anything, that assumption will undercut the validity of what you're trying to say...

okay, so far the answers are proving my point...
i never said i didn't believe in "god"...
i'm wondering why some people aren't respectful enough of others' questions to answer them unassumingly and without judgment...
as far as "oversimplification" goes: any answer that assumes its own vailidity without references to outside sources is by definition oversimplified...

They aren't likely to, because they feel there is no reason to. I am a Christian mind you. The thing is I feel that when someone asks a serious, deep question they don't want a religious explaination as the answer. Sometimes I give my belief as part of the answer. It is how I feel. It is part of my thinking. I do try to give the longer answer that people WANT though. After all not EVERYONE is a Christian.

When you believe in a Supreme Being who created the universe
with nothing more than His will, you don't need science or complicated explanations. It also prevents you from having to
acknowledge little things like evolution being real. After all the
world is only a few thousand years old so those pesky fossils
must be fraud by devious scientists.

It's a nice idea, but really most people have a very simplified view of God. They never really build on whatever picture of God they have as a child.
It's a tough situation here on Y!Answers, but if you repeat a question a few times, you'll get good answers eventually.

People like you say you think that there isn't a God due to the lack of proof (especially scientic proof). If there is a God as we Christians believe (who is omnipresent and omnipotent), then there wouldn't be scientific proof due to the mere definition of what God is. Much like you can't scientifically prove there is wind, only the effects of wind. If you want proof to his effects, simply look in nature.

Simplified answers are most effective for poignant and sometimes complex questions so that even a child can understand. By the way; you are the one assuming that "God" DOES NOT exist.

They're doing us a favor by keeping the bible alive.
If you assume this world is vile and cruel..
all questions can be answered:
Eternal Life Of Love awaits!! BELIEVE.
It's the force of the rhetoric.
It's quite highly evolved despite inanities.
The impossible is always possible
Therefore so is God.
Live for this questionable world, or Burn.
I think it makes sense.

It seems that you already established a belief about God in your mind, whether It exist or not, does not matter.Would a complex answer satisfy you if it does not match with your subtle expectations?I doubt it.
