I would like a really great invitation for my 9 yr. old son bowling party. I don't just want a paper invitation. I want a colorful large pin so I can then attach a paper invitation to it with string or something but, I cant find a place to purchase bowling pins or another great idea for a bowling invitation other than a paper invitation. I really want something unique. Not something crafty and flat but something really different.

If you're looking to save a few dollars and aren't too picky about the condition of the pins, you can probably go to your local bowling center and ask the head mechanic if he has any used pins he could spare (no pun intended). To get that many pins you may have to come back week after week or go to more than one bowling center. Next go to Home Depot and buy some Gold and Silver colored spray and decorate as desired. Color the other kid's pins silver and your son's gold. Give the kids a Sharpie to sign your son's pin (like a birthday card). The kids will go crazy over it!

That was my thought too when reading this. Do you want the Full size pins?? Those things aren't light, and if you want to send 35 of them out, that's gonna add up really quick. As far as getting colorful ones, I doubt there would be many around, but check your local Bowling Alleys. White ones painted might suffice too.

I like the idea of using pins from a Play set from somewhere like Toys 'R Us. Much cheaper, smaller, easier to mail, etc. It is a really unique idea, and I hope the party turns out great!!

Go to Toys'r'us or some place of that sort, and get toy bowling sets. They have them in various sizes.
Sounds like a great idea for a fun party!

try this site for a regular paper invitation. If you like any of them, let me now and I can get them for you at a discount. I am in my 2nd year of my own invitation company and currently in the stage of getting my name out there. If the link doesn't work, go to www.finestationary.com and search under bowling! They are pretty pricey though. If you finr something, I can get it for you pretty cheap! Thanks!
