Make sure it is stored in a relatively air-tight compartment. If you haven't opened the package and it's sealed, it should last well beyond the sell-by date. I don't think I've ever tasted bad cream cheese, even if it passed the expiration date. One time I did see some green mold on one side that was exposed to air, but I could easily cut that part out. Generally, molds on cheeses are less dangerous than those on other products, so if you can just cut the bad part out, the cheese should still be good.

Usually 7 days..dairy products only last 7 days after expiration date.

Until it gets moldy. Cream cheese can dry out, which makes it less appetizing, but it would still be good in soups and stews. If there's no mold, it's safe to eat.

depends on how well it has been refrigerated. Has it been left out? Has it been opened? etc..smell it, you'll know if its bad or not!
