put your songs into folders and copy those folders onto the CD. You should be able to fit about 120 songs. If you changes the file-format from mp3 to WMA, you should be able to get about 240 songs in.
If you want more songs, then convert your songs into lower bits. The song quality will become radio-like but you will be able to pack 1000s of songs at 16kbps quality.

Hi,
I'm assuming you're using Windows XP. Place all the mp3 files in the same folder, don't compress with zip or anything else because not only will you not be able to play them but they're compressed anyway so it won't make any difference.
Place a blank CD in the drive.
Right click on the folder that contains the mp3s, select "Send To" from the list and then find your CD Writer in the list and left click. Windows will do the rest.

It depends on how you are going to burn the CD ...

A Data CD holds much more ( HiMat: up to 80 songs that I've done ) than a CD burned as a music CD (<20 songs)

DVDs hold much more, like 4-5 gigs of data ...

I hope there is nothing left for me to say on this however I would say there are lots of softwares available which you can use to do what you want few of them Nero Express, Easy CD Creator, Sonic Record Now plus, Windows Media Player ( with required Codecs), Real Player ( with required Codecs), Winamp (Version 5.0) and the list continues.....

I hope you can use any of these to do what ever you want to do with your MP3s.

Your use of “bunch” is an inconsistent number, which could have a value of infinity. Please rewrite your question with a definite value, otherwise, be a bamboozle for the rest of your existence.
