that, at least in the manga, they're ALWAYS saying a simple luminol test will prove everything. The detectives seem to rely on luminol almost as much as the bad guys rely on Duct Tape. Does it seem like Gosho doesn't know much about luminol, like if sprayed on bleach it'll produce the same effects? Or is this something that the detectives are relying on to corner the criminal? Thoughts?

usually the cases conan's involved in are murder, so it wouldn't be so unusal to use luminol. But your right, Luminol will produce different effects if not used on blood. It also depends on the amount to protien the substances has.

well, 4 me a simple luminol is just a test to prove the presence of blood. the presence of a lot of blood can indicate murder.
yes, bleach will gave a same effect, but bleach can also be smelled and etc...
i guess, it;s just a test to proves one theory, not to depend 100% on it... ^_^

Better questionis why the hell is this Kida round so many dead people. I mean thank the lord that he is a maste detective, cause otherwise, this kid would be so traumatized, he would grow up to be a serial killer.
