A business owner who has approximately 120 full-time employees is considering outsourcing (to India) as a means to reduce expenses. My questions are:

1> What departments are excellent candidates for outsourcing?
2> What kind of expense savings should be expected (%)?
3> What departments are not excellent candidates for outsourcing?

Any additional comments that could provide practical insight into this area would be greatly appreciated.

1) Customer Service, Software Development, IT
2) Forget about savings. If you don't outsource your company will die in less than a decade.
3) Human Resources (Unless your Company recruits employees without meetings in person)

Accounting is not a good Department to outsource to India because the Laws are not the same.

However, you can outsource your entire Accounting Department to a Small Accounting Firm based in the United States of America.

If you ship a lot of stuff to Canada, United States of America or Mexico I may be able to help you with your Logistics Department.
