I am going on 38 and I still watch Barney, the dinosaur, every morning on PBS. People think that it is a little odd for me to still watch the show, but I think it might be addicting. Do you think that I might be wasting my time? Would it be more appropriate if I actually had a child to watch it with, or even was married? Or would it be more acceptable if I wasn't still living in my mother's basement? Please help me, people are starting to stare at me weird.

who cares what others think? I'm 20 and watch Blue's Clues, Sesame Street, and Rugrats... ect.,
- wasting your time? Nothings too important you can't spare a half hour to an hour in the morning.
-no, if you have a kid then go ahead, if you're married see if your hubby also would sit there and watch it without annoying you but why ruin your 'moment' of alone time with the dinosour?
-hey, I'm living at home, rent is too high and will continue to live at home for a while, nothing to be ashamed about.
- let them stare, throw something at them or make funny faces... maybe you should pick your nose?

This is to: Lovely_Lady(or whatever you real name is): Some people need something to bring back childhood memories, unless you were never truly a child, and if you never had a good childhood, with good loving parents and if your parents were abusive, i'm sorry that you had a horrible childhood and had to grow up too fast. and I'm 24 yrs old and still watch barney and the backyard gang not barney and friends unless it's the 1st season only and yes there was a barney and the backyard gang, more better shows than the current ones and no, the person in the costume who plays barney isn't gay, trust me, the reason why there might be no more shows is because the person in the barney costume cussed, and not any other reason, how do i know, i'm more in tune with the news of old stuff than you are, you are probably immortal and never had tv in you entire 500 yr. life, sorry for saying that, and please forgive me for saying that, And I'm a self-employed interior decorator/designer more of a decorator than a designer, but as of right now, i only do interior decorating, and have a certificate to prove. and you're never too old to watch old show,what about scooby-doo, if you're too old to watch barney then you're too old to watch scooby, what do you say to that lovely_lady. and I repeat again to lovely_lady and to ecstacy barney is not gay at all, and why do you say that he is, what proof do you have and send it to a criminal photo specialist and give me the number of said photo specialist and make sure the photo/video ain't altered by a third party. or something of the sort, i watch the barney shows, because a. there's nothing better to do, b.business is slow,too slow, c. what would happen if an adult watched barney, would they be turn into a kid physically as well as mentally, if so bring it on, i would prefer to be a 5 yr old again, and make sure i brush my teeth this time around, because i have extremely rotten teeth and you can't regrow teeth. d. just so you know, i watched barney as a kid and as an adult, and I'm a 24 yr. old heterosexual(straight), genetic (xy chromosome) male and that's the truth and remember the saying, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all, but i'm an immature adult so i can say what i wish, and remember they saying don't knock before you try it, and before you try to watch barney again, first, buy adult baby-printed diapers like from bambinodiapers.com or abunivese.com, or whereever.

I am 20 years younger than you but I do understand how you feel... Whenever I can ( when I don't work or don't go to school) I always try to wake up in time to watch Rupert the Bear... I don't know, it just brings back so many childhood memories and I love watching the show.. I'm not obsessed bu cartoons, it's just that show. If you wanna watch it, just watch it... but it shouldn't be an obsession...

Barney is gay no offense and he beat up one of the kids thats why there are no more new episodes they r all reruns and you should of stopped by the age of 7 max. and maybe start again when you have kids and watch it with them. and if you actually still live with your moms you either a total failure(no job) or really love your moms.

Why worry about people's judgements of you? If it makes you happy, sure, watch it. It personally drives me up a wall just to hear the song, but to everyone their own!
