you use the a href tag to link the the executable or file that you want to download
for example say i have a file in myroot called my.exe

make a link to the filename. then tell them to right click it and click on SAVE TARGET AS. In Netscape I think you can hold down the shift key and click the link to download it

you dont need one provide a hyperlink code to like a zip file or whatever.. depending on if you can play it right there you may need to right click and push save as.
