The Language of Love

We may all be bias towards our own language and although I think that may be my reason for putting forward my choice, nevertheless, I would suggest Irish Gaelic (older style). To hear someone talk softly and quietly about a 'gluistawn' instead of a 'car' or to hear a softly spoken poem or story told in that wonderful language, brings goose pimples to the back of my neck. I have a theory that in cities, language of any country must be spoken quickly and sharply to get the message across whilst if the husband is plowing a field maybe half a mile away in the countryside, a floating call 'Pat rick, your din ner is ready' can easily be heard at that distance. Somehow, I have argued against myself by saying that, so I will have to revise and say that any language spoken in the countryside has a lyrical romanticism to it no matter what country is chosen. Slan Leat....

Technically, I think the answer is Latin, since all romance languages are based on it, but the language I find most romantic personally is German. Listen to some music by Peter Maffay, and you will see what I mean.

English can be if you use the right words. Any language can be romantic if used properly, no one language is more romantic than another, they just sound different.

I think that whether a language is romantic or not depends on what are you saying. Simple "I love you" sounds romantic in every language... And when you want it to sound even more romantic and sexy just whisper it...
