My sons going to war, his sister's in college, I left their looser stepfather, I wish their father lived to see how they turned out. I hate that I put them thru the past 10 yrs. with my ex.I know you can't live in regret, but I wish the boys father was here to see him.How can one person find the strength to be the sole parent and supporter and convince 2 kids that you'll be enough?

Just know that their father does see them. If he was a good person then he's in Heaven looking down at his wonderful children. Don't worry about your son, more people have died in car wrecks on the US highways than have died in Iraq the entire time we've been there. He'll be fine but I would still pray, it doesn't hurt.

First, you need to stop seeing all the regrets and start seeing all the blessings you have! Turn the negative to positive and tell the kids that YOU WILL get them through anything! I know you are hurting too, but you must stop feeling sorry for yourself and realize that life goes on no matter what bad happened yesterday, there's always a brightness to tomorrow.

May the Creator bless you and keep you safe and warm!

I'm so sorry for your pain. Gosh, life is hard isn't it? You need to remind your children that you are there for them and doing the best you can under the circumstances. That you can't be everything to them, and that whatever happned they are now in charge of their own destiney and you are there to support them.

You will find love again. A true love. You deserve it.

You don't have to convince them of anything. They are adults and they are old enough to understand whats going on. Just talk to them and tell them how you feel, they will understand. It sounds like you care for your kids very much and thats what children of any age need - love and support from their parent(s).

I feel for you. Perhaps you could join some kind of group that understands what you are going through. Going to church helps me cope with life. I will pray for you and your children.
