From "Elizabeth", earlier form "Elisabeth", a Hebrew name (name of John the Baptist's mother, in Luke 1).

As for the meaning of "Elisabeth", the babyname sites & books are being a bit sloppy (as, unfortunately, they often are) when they use the word "consecrated". .

Eli means "(my) God".
sabeth means "oath" [or, possibly, but less likely a homonym meaning "fullness, abundance"]

So the meaning of the whole is "(my) God is (my/the) oath", which is to say "God is the one I swear by".

[If sabeth means "abundance" here the meaning is "God is (my) fullness/abundance", a name thanking him for all his gifts.]

Note that in the ancient world swearing oath's in a king's name meant that you were loyal to him; swearing by a deity was part of being his worshiper. Thus saying "God is the one I swear by" implies "God is the One I WORSHIP".

(Compare Old Testament commands like these:

Deuteronomy 10:20 -"You shall fear the LORD your God. You shall serve him and hold fast to him, and by his name you shall swear."

Deuteronomy 6:13 "It is the LORD your God you shall fear. Him you shall serve and by his name you shall swear."

This is also the starting point of the third commandment --"You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain." means 'KEEP the oath's you make in his name.')
