Oh my to fast forward is a brain teaser...well I guess we'll have had to have found an alternative to fossil fuel by then. Maybe a better solution to domestic waste (sent to space by that stage!) Speaking of space, far more space exploration + who knows what wonders associated with that. Technology should make more mod-cons in life for our convenience + comms would probably have moved on a notch. Micro mobile phones say, the size of a shirt button. Cash-less society maybe? Oh and by then my daughter will be all grown up + I'll be needing anti-aging creme!

Considering that change is exponentially accelerating and given 20 years...

Whew! We may have a totally new paradigm by then and in that case, we just might be able to create whatever we are capable of imagining. Kind of the way it is now if you think about it.

If enough of us can focus on imaging the great unimaginable with bright, unlimited horizons, I believe critical mass may be achieved and an entirely new form of civilization birthed from this planetary chaos.

exactly the same but with smaller computers, implantable cell phones, homes made out of recycled milk cartons, kids that don't know what Cd's are because they will be gone, adjustable breast implants, adjustable hair extensions, microwavable pizza that doesn't taste like cardboard, healthy cigarettes, and still no cure for the common cold.

So, the truth is, the more things change the more things stay the same. I don't think we can see any radical transition to life as we know it in the next 20 years.

I don't know. You really can never tell. But by then I hope I'm married, coming slowly but surely out of any debts from college and babies, with a few kids, living happily ever after in a nice house in a fairly good neighborhood. I can only hope for the best.

good question... i think alot of it will be the same and alot of it will be different. It depends on what the people in the world choose. For example, if North Korea nukes us, it will be hell. If not, maybe we can reach a 20 year peace. Who knows?

But i hope they can sell jet packs in stores... i really want to be able to fly

Honestly, the way I do not think I will be alive on earth in 20 years. But since I am going to be with God It will be fantastic.
