I usually read the book, then watch the movie. But, if I see a good movie and haven't read the book, I usually read the book because the book is almost always better.

If I see the movie first, I usually dont like to read the book since I know what is coming and usually have too little patience to sit through the entire book, unless I have heard that the movie and book are very different from each other. If I have heard that a movie is coming out based on a book, I will usually read the book before I go see the movie, then compare them.

Not always. If it's a book that I've already been thinking about reading, then I see the movie and like it, I'll uaually read the book. More often, it's the other way around. If I have read a book and it's made into a movie, I will almost always see the movie.

I usually want to read the book after I see the movie, but it's not as good. You already have the images of the characters in your mind and you can imagine much of your own.
I always like to read the book before I see the movie, but then that totally ruins the movie for me if the books was good, because I have such high expectations

I always read the book first, then watching the movie is like a reward for finishing the book.

I like to read the book first, but only if i have not seen too many commercials for the movie. when I heard Memoirs of a geisha was being made, I hurried to get it, as it was a book on my list. Once i see a movie, or commercials, I have a visual of the book and characters, and it is hard for me to see the book in my head, as I can only see the movie.

Actually, I usually read the book first & then the movie comes out like 3 years later & ALWAYS SUCKS compared the book. You just can't get that detailed with a movie!
