ok this is how you tell if it's fake the second hand doesn't tick it sweeps and if it touchs all the way to the numbers not like half way

You should be able to tell if it is real by taking it to a jewler who is certified, they should not charge you for this service.Also try to take the back off and look inside, if it says made in China the chances are that you have a fake. Rolexes are Swiss. You can also go on line and do research..I just did this same thing.. Hope it is real..

If you bought it off the street it's a fake. Take it to a jewlery store, they will be able to tell. Also the other poster is correct, the second hand on a Rolex is a smooth motion.

On a true Rolex, the hands move smoothly, they do not "tick". You should have it appraised if you want to know for sure.

go to a scientist and they'll tell you or you can break it and if it is gold still it is real
