All that joka raps about is the name-brand of his clothes n' how much money he's got in his pocket. His flows don't match the beat he's on; it's like he raps completely independent of any kind of timing or rhythm. I really can't see how he's made it this far.

Yo, all I'm sayin' is, please try sump'n, for me, and yourself: listen to 2Pac (any song, it doesn't matter which), then listen to Jay-Z (again, any song - try to make it his best, though, just to be fair to jigga). Rinse and repeat. After you've heard 5 tracks from each artist, come back here and edit your answer... See if you still like that joka.
P.S. I have heard 99 Problems. It's not bad, as Jay-Z tracks go...

I don't know why he's so popular. But then again I don't like rap, so I don't see how any rap artist could be popular. As far as Jay-Z only rapping about his clothes and his money, I thought that all rap music was like that. Maybe I just haven't listened to it enough to know any better though.

ever since I've heard eminem's music, all the other rappers are clueless to me. Eminem has got the most powerful lyrics I've ever heard, I used to think he was just a whinner, but it all makes sense. And as a person, what other man would stand up to be somebodies father to a child that was his cheating whores mistake? I think he has risen above everything, if I ever got the chance to meet him, I would probably just stand there like a dumba$s in awe.
