Tinted windows are a safety feature, you will be able to see the on coming cars better during day light hours and at night time with the headlights coming at you., Also it will help with the heat inside the vehicle. Go for the tinted windows it will impress the insurance co and then have the window insured. Next time they pay for it after your dedutable if you get a crack or rock thrown through the windshield. Good Luck and safe driving.

I've lived in North Florida/South Georgia all my life. Yes, tinted windows do help, but there is a better way to spend the money. I have added the window vent covers to my car so I can crack a window. More heat escapes and no rain gets in. Hope this helps!

I live in the southwest and tinted windows are a definite must. I do not know how well they would work in Georgia, but I would guess a good 10 degrees is always welcome.
As for the paying 250 dollars, I think that is just a bit much. Try one of those "do it yourself" papers that you can apply yourself. You may want to do a few trial runs before actually doing on your car, but it's not that hard.
Good luck!

I've had tinted windows in my cars for over 17 years living in Hawaii and Florida, now. I find the tint does little or nothing for the internal temperature of the car when it is sitting in the hot sun. It basically just helps with the glare from the bright sun when driving (and makes you very mysterious looking inside your car to others..LOL).

Yes, tinting your windows can help but $250 is a little much. Check around. There are some really good places in Florida for around $115.00 I waited until I went there on vaca. to have mine done but with Georgia being so close to Florida there should be some places with similar price ranges. Anyways...... YES. It is worth the $.

For about $20 you can get one of those windshield shades that you prop up when you leave the car parked.
