Ever since I bought this manly beast, people seem to be jealous. Why can't people apprecate the fact that I could afford to finance one? My neibors are the worst - they aren't american at all - they say its too loud. They don't even drive american - they drive a porche.

First it is not everyone that is jjealous, only folks that are VILLAGE PEOPLE wannabees. the gay community enbraces you with no jealousy at all.

Now are you talking about their houses having porches or about them driving Porsches? I love my two wheeled freedom, but I love my 911 just as much. You can't compare the two. Both give a totally different experience, and you can't comment until you've truly driven both the way they were meant to be driven/ridden.

But for me, sport riding is my adrenaline. Even at 36 years of age, I still feel more control over top of the bike. And I just love the mind-link like response when riding.

As far as people being jealous? I'm sure it's all in your head. A lot of people don't like Harley's because of the OMG image, in combination with the noise. Not a matter of jealousy, just distaste. There's a difference. I would never buy a Harley myself, but I can appreciate a nice looking one...

Are you sure? I dont think so. Many people like harleys, but I dont think its an envy thing at all. Manly beast...geez hehehe. Hey Margo, come take a look at my manly beast. Are you a kiddin me?

I've been riding harleys for years and never come across a single jealous person. I get a lot of smiles and thumbs up, and a few of the old "black power" fists in the air. I get old ladies walking up to me saying nice bike. Little kids, ladies, sport bike riders, doesnt matter, they all are friendly and talk.

Yeah i get the occasional its to loud person. I say sorry, and do a burn out as i am leaving to prove my sorrow.

But all in all, most people are very cool about harleys. Thats why i like them. Even the guys that call them crap in front of their buddies, i see the sparkle in their eye when their buddies aren't around. But its not jealousy.

I would venture a guess that you haven't been riding all that long, most bikers don't refer to their rides as "manly beasts" and all my friends who ride are very humble and down to earth, no matter how much money (or lack of) they have. My question to you is, are you somehow acting like you're better than everyone else because you're sporting a new ride? It might not be jealousy, just plain old animosity. Ride for the pure joy of riding and don't be set trippin like the people who say Hondas rule, or Harleys suck, or my brand of bike is the best and everything else is junk. AND WHAT'S WRONG WITH DRIVING A PORSCHE???

They can't handle the fact that your Harley is the Cat's Pajamas and their Porsche is old news. I would rev the engine alot, preferable in their front yard, while screaming "I'm living the American Dream". We all know that screaming on your bike in the front yard is not the american dream but, they don't know that.
Their Porsche couldn't beat a Huffy, let alone your Harley. Besides, can they wear fancy leather while driving their porsche? Of course, but they would look stupid. May you continue to have a fabulous time with your "manly beast"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are not jealous, they probably laugh every time you bust out the kitty litter to soak up all your oil spills. BTW I hear gays love harleys. I think they look pretty nice my self but i would go with an american made reliable better looking victory myself.

Because they wish they could dress up like it's halloween everyday. They know that you will learn how to work on a motorcycle, push a motorcycle and pay to have it fixed on a regular basis. I am not jealous of you, I just would of bought a honda instead.

I could finance one too. But I went ahead and bought 2 good bikes. That I won't have to put any work into.

You have got to be in the 10 top ten for gay biker of the year. You have may vote. None of the other bikers could possibly be as gay as you and your "manly beast".

TOO LOUD??? Is there such a condition for a Harley? What pipes are you running? I personally run V&H longshots(no baffles...basically they are srtaight pipes) and could care less wether my neighbors like it or not. As far as the jealousy thing goes....forget em. If they want an HD that bad...tell em to go get one.

since you financed it you really don't own it. the bank does. you have to pay them back. why did you finance? you should have paid cash like i did. i have a 2004 Road King and best of all i also have the title. I also have a 2006 goldwing, paid cash. No one is jealous of you. really. they don't care. just like you don't care about me.
