No. He is in danger of ruining his abilities for life. Rooney is a great striker but he also needs to calm his temper down and remember he is a team player. He reminds me of Beckham in 1998 - too feisty and in danger of being a detriment rather than a benefit to the team.

Rooney will serve England much better after the first round. As for Crouch or Owen, I didn't see much of them in their first game.
