My first thought was to say you didn't duck fast enough. (Kidding!) Turning the other cheek simply means to not retaliate when you've been wronged, but instead, respond with grace and forgiveness. In other words, don't give tit for tat. It certainly does NOT mean that you should stand still and someone beat the snot out of you. More often than not, when you turn the other cheek, it will get slapped, but (trust me on this) the other person will know that you are taking the high road, and who knows what effect your response will be on him "down the road."

if your question referees to the passage in the Bible that has to do with turning the other cheek,that passage in the Bible is written about two Cristian's.if two Cristian's are having a heated argument about religion and one Cristian slaps the other Cristian the Cristian that is slapped should turn the other cheek.if a person walks up and slaps a Cristian the Cristian can knock that person down and stomp on that person throat with a clear conscience

to show that those who suffer now, will be rewarded later. if you are religious then you see that as reaosn to be good in this lifetime, but if you are paranoid and untrusting of ogranizataions then you realize that this is a function of those in power to keep those not in power happy with suffering and the explotation that continues throughout the world by letting them think that the suffering in this lifetime will pay off in the next
