Well I hear your pain and your kindness at the same time.It is very uneasy to take a Friend's money but you have to do it.I would say you three have to sit down in a quiet moment and talk about the rent, electricity, the rent contract and etc.You have to be business like in order to make it better. They move in with out your total consent and you need agreement and rules to be in order. You may not see the problem yet but,it will coming and I urge you to protect yourself and it is a game and I have seen so many friends fight while I was in college.Good luck.

If it is just the three of you ( you don't have steady over night company) then you should split every bill 3 ways.I mean after all they are both adults why split it by half? and I would say everyone supply their own food, laundry, and personal items (shampoo conditioner etc)and respect the other person's food by not eating it or using your personal; items without permission. You'd be surprised how much a guy can eat! And if they don't like the arrangement, tell them to leave! Also if you paid all the deposits to move in.I would take the amount and split that three ways too!because if they damage something, why should you foot the bill! She may be your friend, but all too often I have seen money, and greed destroy a friendship when it goes bad!

Divide the rent 3 WAYs, not two. Who's name is on the lease? Who does the landlord officially know about? How many bedrooms?

Because there's 2 of them and 1 of you, it's only logical that the rent and expenses be divided into thirds. If both your names are on the lease, he is her guest and there's not much you can do to make him leave (without getting the landlord involved, of course). If your name is on the lease and her's isn't, you're legally qualified to make decisions about who will stay there.

In some states, a maximum occupancy number is placed on each residential dwelling. For example, in Texas, one bedroom dwellings can only have two occupants (with the exception of infants under the age of 6 months). These laws were designed (in part) to prevent the development of tenements (slums).

You have a tough situation on your hands, so I wish you the best of luck.

First, you need to ask yourself if you feel comfortable with the living situation in your house. If you feel like
the guy can stay then tell him he needs to pay you
rent and if that doesn't work: tell him to hit the street!!!
Do not let this arrangement go on for a long time without
you doing anything. Do you understand? I do not know if you are male or female, doesn't matter.

Maybe both of them need to hit the street!! Do you really need this aggravation in your life?? Ask yourself and think about this stuff. Good Luck, man, or girl

Tell her that he was not part of the arrangement. Tell her how you feel and be clear about it. If you decide to let him stay, he should pay at least a third of the rent and utilities.

tell them to get aplace together. You don't want to be living with a couple and getting involved with their personal life( will happen no matter what0. Tell them you moved in with her, not them, as a couple. This will not turn out to be a good situation, youneed to get them out.

Tell her three's a crowd!

If they're going to be together then they have to go. You helped her in her time of need and now she jumped back into the fire to burn herself.

I think you need to have a heart to heart with your friend/roomate. If she is a true friend she will understand either they need to move or pay more either way she should understand. If not then she is not a true friend.
