Where can i go to get another one thats cheaper and its also 3 years old so i dont even think the generic ones i see will work cause i dont see the model on the back of the package i already tried dell which is the brand but they said they dont make them anymore what should i do??

You may try www.ebay.com in the search box put in "Laptop Power Supply" from that page you keep refining until ya get what you want or you can try "Want it Now" but the price will be higher!

There's many ways of getting a replacement power supply.

Indeed online auctions like Ebay or Yahoo Actions may have someone selling them, but you can find deals on refurbished items or new items at a variety of online locations. Buying online is cheaper more times than not. You may want to check out places like pricewatch.com or newegg.com to see if you can find yourself a deal.

Another thing to keep in mind is buy only a power supply made by the same company that made your laptop. Many 3rd party/generic power supplies are prone to fry laptops, be DOA, fry themselves, and even start a fire. Not that it happens all the time, but it's happened before. I just don't recommend them.
