Some women never get morning sickness - I never did. But most get over the morning sickness phase by the end of the first trimester, so it should actually get better.

I believe this happened to me and this could be true for some people...having nausea and even gagging but not throwing up. It's the reflex that you get and I had that but sometimes nothing would come up, I would be able to control it before it reached that point of getting into my mouth where I would have no choice because of the taste alone would make me wanna just do it. Try crackers first thing when you pick you head up off the bed in the morning, saltines work wonders. Every woman is different and this is only the beginning. Good luck and if you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask...

Some women don't throw up, I didn't, but I was nausious for almost 3 months straight.

There are some things you can do to cut down the nausea. Here they are. I hope they help.

Eat small, frequent meals every 2-3 hrs- 2 to 3 ounces of carbohydrates and protein is best.

Eat saltine crackers or bread before getting up in the morning and throughout the day.

Eat or drink something sweet- fruit, fruit juice- before getting out of bed in the morning or before going to bed at night

Take your prenatal vitamin at night, before bed. Sometimes they can upset your stomach.

Avoid foods with a strong or offensive odor, citrus fruits, greasy and spicy foods, and fatty foods.

Increase your rest.

At bedtime try: 1/2 unisom tablet or 100 mg B6 twice a day.

I also found that thoothpaste made me sick. Only minty toothpaste, so if you find that you gag every time you brush, try switching toothpaste.

It really helps to eat. Sometimes you don't feel like eating, I'm sure, but eating helps neutralize the acid in your stomach and helps your belly to settle down.

Drink lots of water too. At least 8 glasses a day. Sometimes being dehydrated can make you sick.

I hope it doesn't get any worse for you!! Hopefully you are one of the lucky ones that don't get that sick. Good luck!!

The answers are nearly infinite. It varies from person to person. Some get extremely sick right away, some don't get sick at all. Some are sick for a short time, and others could be sick for the entire 9 months (though it's rare). Eat things that are easy on the stomach, take your prenatal vitamins at night (when the stomach is usually less sensitive), and if you work at a computer, get up and walk around occasionally, and focus on reducing any stress...all of these could help with the morning sickness.

Nausea usually only lasts a few weeks. Try eating a cracker when you get up and munch on them throughout the day. Especially when you feel it coming. Keeping something in your stomach at all times will help a lot. Youll see.

you may not throw up at all.

I'm 22 weeks pregnant and I figured out if I avoided certain foods even the nausea wasn't as bad...and I never did actually "get sick"

Every pregnancy is different...so no one can tell you when or if you'll get sick...however, plain crackers seemed to help me...and I also went and bought those "Preggy Pops"...they're lolly pops with ginger in them and they really helped me with the nausea...

I also cut out the coffee (even decaf) cause it was giving me crazy bad heartburn and making me sick to my stomach.

The best thing that helped was to eat. I know its the last thing you want to do...but as soon as you get some food in your tummy...it seems to settle down...just watch out for too greasy or too spicy...I ate crackers like they were going out of style and eventually my morning sickness passed and now I'm fine....and I never did get sick...

Good Luck! and congratulations

Not everyone vomits because of morning sickness. Some people dont even have any morning sickness. But, if you are feeling nauseous try eating something with ginger in it. Its supposed to help.
