Well, burning something is the release of oxygen. So my guess would be no. Well we watched a movie in chemistry where it said that real diamonds are used to cut heavy machinery in very hot conditions and diamonds have to be cut using lasers. As you know diamonds is the hardest substance on earth.

Sure, but the melting point of 4440°C (at 12.4 GPa) makes it seem kinda silly to try, doesn't it?

In order to start burning a diamond, you first have to apply enough energy to break the tetrahedral lattice structure, first melting the diamond, then vaporizing it so it can react with oxygen.

Technically yes, however, since its melting point is so pathetically high, in reality, diamond will never burn.

Their combustion temperature is higher than their melting temperature so technically they cannot be burned.
