it's Bowser, and he's not a dragon even though he spits fire.
He's basically a big fire-breathing turtle with a spiky shell

Koopa is in the first 3 games, after we saw the super nintendo verison, we started to see bowser, while they're entirely simmilar, King Koopa was only called that because the whole race of monsters and such were koopas, and being king, he was known as "king Koopa"
