A hissie fit is a fit that happens because of your REACTION to something that was really a non-event. A conniption fit is your reaction to something that actually did happen. Examples: "She had a hissie fit because he didn't apologize with as much sincerity as she thought he should." "She had a conniption fit because the waitress forgot to bring her food and then didn't even apologize"

They're basically the same thing, but a hissy fit is seen as more immature and childish. A hissy fit is also kind of slang and used more in the South and South Midland United States.

a hissie fit is when you are throwing a fit and you take it out on other people and start yelling at them. Like hissing at them.

A conniption fit is when u are grumpy and insane while throwing a fit when something is bothering you. ♥♥♥
