You can try some white paint and if you still don't see a difference you should find a new one, this one could be sick. Try to put a real avatar not just a shadow...

You haven't been Yahooing enough; that's probably why you're looking a little grayer than usual; you just need some attention from a nice female avatar. But your smile is still the same bright white it's always been.
In lieu of female companionship, I suggest giving your avatar a thorough bleaching, including its hair.
