K.. first of all, the comment about small people isn't true. I'm small and I started showing before my 3rd month in all my pregnancies, which was bad when I had my miscarriages because people already knew I was pregnant.

It all depends on the woman. Some women show as early as the end of the first trimester, some don't show until later. There is nothing wrong with not showing right now.

Your baby is only the size of a fig right now and only weighs a quarter of an ounce. It's around 1.5 inches long, so it's still really tiny. It is fully formed by now though. He/she is already kicking and moving it's arms. You won't feel it for a while, but movement is there.

If you take your hand and make a fist, put it right above your pubic bone and push in a little. You should feel some resistance now. That's your uterus. It's still really low and won't start to expand for a while yet. Don't worry, it's totally normal to not show yet.

The longer your torso is, then less likely you are to show sooner in pregnancy because the uterus has more room to expand before you start to notice.

Not showing at only 3 months with your first pregnancy is very normal. Each woman experiences her pregnancies differently. You will probably feel a little bigger before you can actually see any difference in your abdomen. Many first time pregnant women don't show until they are a good 5-6 months along and even then the "mound" may be hardly noticeable. With my first, I initially noticed that my pants didn't quite fit the same before I noticed any physical signs.

You have to remember that every pregnancy is unique. With your 1st pregnancy the inside of your belly where your baby is very tight, and as the baby gets bigger so will your belly in time. I am currently on my 2nd pregnancy and I am showing much faster than I did with my 1st pregnancy, and that's because I am already "stretched out" on the inside. Just have patients.... Trust me enjoy your size now while it lasts, the further along you get to nine months the more you will want it to be over.

Go get the What to Expect When you are Expecting book. It will help you understand things and be more comfortable. Most sources say first pregnancies don't really show until the 4th to 5th month. This is my first pregnancy and that book has given me a lot of insight and relief. If your still worried talk to your doctor.

dont take offense to this, but some women are err...Large enough to not show when pregnant. ive heard stories from paramedics where they were delivering a baby while the mother screamed that she wasn't pregnant.
now, that being said, and assuming you arent large enough for this to be a consideration, at 11 1/2 weeks thats just about 2 1/2 months. most women wont begin to show until 3-4 months.
Congrats, by the way!

It all depends on the woman. If you're over weight (or, on the opposite end of the spectrum, in good shape with good abdominal muscles) you won't show as quickly. I was the same way with my first baby. Don't worry...if you decide that you eventually want to have another baby, you'll be showing before the positive result shows up on the pregnancy test, LOL!

you are only 11 weeks. I didn't show til i was about 16 weeks. Give it time, you'll get there. Some people don't until their ninth month. so it's nothing to worry about. It also depends on your size as well. Small people usually don't show until their third trimester. I am 5'9" tall and weigh 207 lbs and i am 30 weeks and look like i'm ready to drop any minute now.

THIS IS SO CRAZY AND MAYBE some of you wil not believe me as many of my family, friends, and baby's father But I did not start to SHOW until I was 8 months pregnant......EVEN THE DOCTORS couldn't believe I was full term when I delivered my beautiful bouncing boy 7 yrs. ago. With my 2nd boy I showed just a tad but didn't start to show a bump until 6 mos. and didn't get big at all....Every woman's body is different....I had a friend who was very petite size zero and ended up pregnant I could literally use her belly as an umbrella lol....

HI ... I am 11 weeks pregnant too.. and I am also not showing anything.. Dont worry, my doctor said it is very common in your first pregnancy to not show until your 4th or 5th month. This is because our bodies and muscles are tight from never having been pregnant before and it takes awhile to show..relax you are fine! Hope this helps!

Be glad. I started showing when I was 4 weeks and gained 55 pounds. I thought I was gonna explode like the guy in Monty Python's The Meaning of Life. Believe me, you'll show, once the weight gain starts it doesn't stop.
