Before we invaded Iraq,we had the support of the entire world. Nobody objected to our going after the Taliban in Afghanistan and we had a coalition of allies who were willing to support our cause. Bush,Pearle,Rumsfeld,Wolfowitz,Cheney and Rice squandered that good will by deliberately lying to the American people and the world about phoney WMD's. They also told us that the war would pay for itself with Iraqi oil. Unfortunately what Bush has accomplished is something no one in history has been able to do,he has turned the entire Islamic world into our enemy. Instead of them hating the Jews in Israel they now hate us. This war will never be won by our troops because when you have people willing to blow their selves up for a cause any victory will only come when the last suicide bomber has died. The Middle east would have been a far more stable region had we not invaded and killed hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians including women and children.

While there is still war between Israel and the Palestinians it would be far worse. Al queda would be training in Iraq big time since they couldn't in Afghanistan. They'd use Palestinian territory for recruiting and training making the violence there worse - far worse then it is today.
Its possible the main land of the United States would have been struck again. Al queda has no real place to operate from right now....thanks to taking our Saddams Iraq.

They would be as they have been for the last 2000+ years. But who cares. That's their choice. They choose to be that way.
Let's see....you look at the middle east the day after Christ was born----and it doesn't seem much more progressed than that today. I believe it's done---stick a fork in it and bring our people home!

I think Saudi & Kuwait might be a bit worried about it, but it wasn't a matter of preventing their next attack, it is a matter of creating honest democracy so reform away from extremist Islam will take hold all over the region. It is taking a long time though.

Nothing , middle east would have lived on and only feuding with israel the odd time would happen that all. Shouldnt have gone there anyways.
