Either they keep asnswering question after question like i do (for no real purpose) or they are hoping Yahoo hires them as a freelance advice columnist.

Surely Yahoo! wouldn't hire some of these goofballs that are on level 7 unless they read their answers to other people's questions first! Some of the people just put crap like "hahaha, I just stole 2 points" as their answer....that is just retarted to me. I really think this is a good place for people to get advice, or simply just chat with "friendly" talk if it wouldn't get turned around and made into a so-called-game!

dont know about others but in my case, as an ase certified master automobile technician, it is truly my desire to help people who obviously need it. I have spent 35 years of my life fixing cars for a living and have done quite well by it, and this is kind of my way of giving back to the community so to speak. i hope to be of some help to those who can't afford to take it to the shop but can probably fix at least the easy stuff if they just had a little helpful information. for me, getting to level seven isn't the point so much as helping people if i can.

They are no more addicted than people who kept asking the same dumb questions. They developed standard pre-packaged good answers to these questions, and they just copy and paste all day long. Because their answers were good once before, they will be good every time, and their points likewise multiply quickly.

They may be hoping for a new career because they obviously don't work for a living, or maybe they do in a cubicle with little supervision.

I don't know but they must be very patient or at least persistent people. I can't wait long enough for the spell check, previewing and submitting everything. I get too impatient!
