I don't know if a dyslexic "reads words misspelled", but I think they would notice if the word does not fit the context of the passage.
If a normal person reads, "I put my dog on a leash and we went for a walk." and a dyslexic reads, "I put my god on a leash and we went for a walk.", then I think they could figure it out.

I don't believe they consistently misspell the same words or write the same numbers wrong all the time. They are clearly capable of noticing their mistakes (the same light rays shine into their eyes as they do a non-dyslexic, the problem is in the brain) as I've met plenty of dyslexics who swear loudly while writing something down without me telling them it was wrong.....

My husband is dyslexic, he knows when he is spelling a word wrong wether I tell him or not. He also knows when he is reading a word wrong too.

They would be able to tell if they were spelling or reading a word wrong, because it wouldn't make sense later on.
