I have a three in one copy of 3 of his novels. Trainspotting, The Acid House and Marabou Stork Nightmares. My fave is Marabou Stork Nightmares. No one else seems to rate that one. Does anybody else like it? What's your fave Welsh book and why? Glory to the Hibbes by the way!

I can truthfully say that Marabou Stork Nightmares has haunted me ever since I read it. I did find it compulsive reading though and have been trying to make people read it ever since - just to have someone to share the horror with.

I liked Trainspotting. Just found out that he has a new novel coming out in August: The Bedroom Secrets of the Master Chefs. And, he will be in the US on tour promoting the book, including Philadelphia on 8/15.

I agree with you. Marabou was his darkest, most disturbing and interesting novel

So far have only read "Trainspotting" (love it, now I guess I need to watch the movie?) as I am waiting for the other books to be shipped to me.
