I would recommend getting something with emotional significance to you.

i don't think it's tacky... but i have seen it more than once, so it might be a bit overdone in my opinion.

However, your body is your choice and if you want a chain of daisies, go for it. Just remember that what you choose is permanent (unless you are willing to pay the money and go through the pain and scarring of tattoo removal)

Try henna ink tattoo's for a start. They last for a long time and will get you used to having it there all of the time. It is fun to have a tattoo ( i do ) but... Imagine wearing a sexy formal dress to a black tie event in your later years with a chain around your ankle... it doesn't go very well. You will like the daisies now but later on they will be old... trust me.

How about a tattoo of the shadow a chain of daisies round your ankle would cast?

Then a real chain of daisies round your ankle would be complimented by it.

Real daisies on a tattoo of daisies would be a tragedy.

Personally I think all tattoos are tacky. I see your screen name is teacher, and i think that if you do get a tattoo it should be somewhere that you can cover it up so as not to look unprofessional. also, if you do get a tattoo, make sure you think the design through because it is PERMANENT. don't get something you'll hate when you're in your 50s, or even in 5 years.

I badly sprained my ankle about 3 weeks ago. I was in a hurry going down the stairs, lost my balance and landed on a bad side of my left foot, causing my left ankle to be stretched going on the inside. The first 48 hours were excruciating and the pain was un-believable. I've never had a serious ankle injury before.

So I immediately treated it using the RICE method. The following day, the bruising and swelling were so horrible. I found out that I got a second degree sprain and immediately panicked after that. I had a football game on that week and it been looking forward to it because I've been training for rt. I had teammates that had similar injuries and it took them months to fully recover, some of them stopped playing altogether. So I kinda had a short-term depression because I can't imagine myself not being able to run and play sports anymore.

Because I was so desperate to recover again, I contacted a lot of people that I know who do sports and asked them if they had similar injuries. One friend of mine, from the boy's football team in my university, told me about H.E.M. Ankle Rehab. I got a copy 4 days after I got injured. I immediately read and followed what was instructed and felt improvement on the first day. I was able to walk a bit, but I was in pain.

A couple of days after that, the swelling and bruising were subsid-ing significantly and on the fourth day, I was walking comfortably again. Although I've had felt a bit of stiffness, I continued doing what was instructed. My sister was surprised that I have recovered this fast. I told her about this book and was shocked on how effective the procedures were. I'm just so happy that this book was shared to me and how effective it is.

Heal your ankle fully & fast?

Very Tacky.
May I suggest an alternative. Get a Kraft Handi-snacks pudding tattoo. They're all the rage these days. I got three yesterday. They look hot. Very hot!!!!!

Some tattoos are impressive and very artistic. One can certainly appreciate the skill of the tattooist. But - I saw a programme on television about tattoo's that had gone wrong and caused real agony and permanent scaring. Give it some thought, as although it may look alright on men as they get older, it doesn't look very nice on older women for some reason.

I agree with the people who said get one where it can easily be covered. I have several tattoos myself but none of them ever show through clothing. Well, occasionally if I wear low jeans and a short top my low-back one shows, but then I'm not dressed professionally anyway, so it doesn't matter! My rule is, if it can't be covered don't get it. You don't want to lose a job offer because of it, or have it show when you are at a formal occasion.
