Well it all depends on what type of media u want, if u want something that can play music and videos then get an Ipod and those start at $299 and if any of you are wondering how well the screen is for the video feature its pretty good i was impressed. If u want somethign simple then I would get the Nano, although it doesn't play videos it still allows u to view photoes (so does the Ipod) and the screen is pretty good from when i checked it out. When its all said and done i would just get the Ipod because i thought it was well worth the money, but keep in mind if u dont care for videos just stick with the nano.

I would go with the Ipod. It's $200 for a 2g Nano or $300 for a 30g Video. Those aren't exact prices I realize, but for around $100, you can upgrade your space 15 times. The Nanos are tiny and look great, but you can use the Ipod video as a backup harddrive in many cases.

well... although I do like the nano's small size, I must say the regular iPod is much better for a user with a larger music library. I myself have about 30GB alone (maybe more... haven't checked in a while). The iPod does carry much more memory capacity than the nano, so my answer would be the nano.

depends on how much space you actually need and how rough you are with the device. the memory in the nano is a solid state chip, can withstand shakes and drops better, but currently have size limitations... 2-4GB. if you need more space, then the ipod can accomodate you (20-40+GB)... however, you probably don't want to go jogging too much with the ipod. the hard drive in the ipod is not meant for physical stress, just like the hard drive in your computer / notebook. don't drop it.

The screen of a Nano can, when scratched, become impossible to view, so I would choose an iPod.
