(a) The American Civil Rights Movement really started before Rosa Parks. It was the event that set it off. The movement was for African Americans especially in the south to have the same rights as Caucasions.

(b) There were segregated bathrooms, hotels, restaurants, and so on. Ther were lynchings, hangings, and other evils against African Americans.

(c) Equal rights. MLK was the key advocate.

The american civil rights movement was meant to change conditions for the black people so they could lilve equally with whites.
the movement wanted to change such things as segregated bathrooms, waiting rooms, etc. etc.
