Hi there!
After the age of 35 you are at risk for a more complicated pregnancy (gestational diabetes, low birth weight etc) but with the technology and medical advancements that are out there today, being pregnant at a later age can be monitored closely and complications can be minimized. If you are planning on trying to get pregnant in the near future, I would suggest going to your doctor and getting pre-natal vitamins. Even if it takes you a little while to conceive, being on the vitamins will prepare your body and help you to have a healthier pregnancy. Hope this helps! :)

Statistically, you should be fine. Age 33 is not that old to be having children. FYI though, once you hit age 35, you are statistically at higher risk of having a child with down sydrome, versus having a child before the age of 35.

No, 33 is not too old to have a baby, i would actually get started asap, don't forget that when your child gets older you do as well, so you can enjoy spending time with them and taking care of them. i think that 40 is too old as by the time they are ten you will be 50, so it's just something for you to think about. Good Luck

I think it's a great idea. You are more mature now than when you were in your twenties. As far as fertility, I'm sure you realize that it declines with age. That being said..I'd say you are at a perfect age.

I think it's great. It's the 50+ aged women that drive me nuts. Go for it and good luck!

I would say get started--35 is when you are put in the "high risk" category.
