If the company you work for has part-time employees, do they get any benefits, such as vacation time, holidays or medical insurance? And if they do, how many hours do they need to work a week to qualify? Please state the approx. size of the company you work for too.

It depends on the company. They do not have to give you any of those things.
(This is how Walmart keeps their payroll expenses so low...they make everyone part-time employees so they do not qualify for benefits.)

Hi -

Honestly, this varies by state and by company policy. Some companies insure PT employees, others will start benefits at 32 hours a week. You should probably find out what the requirements are for your state. . .

Part-time employees do not get any benefits, even holiday time. If you want to be eligible for benefits, you need to work at least 32 hours per week.
