Ok, I don't know what you guys are talking about, Monopoly, although fun, takes way too long. The best board game, I would have to say is Clue.

there was a fun one called nightmare that you had to play while you were watching a videotape. a guy would pop up on the screen and make you do stuff to advance the game. that was pretty scary and fun
they made a sequal too i think..
