It's ALMOST impossible as there are so many fast ways to PRODUCE heat, but all methods to REMOVE heat are slow. They all rely on foods and drinks to BECOME cold based on the ambient temperature inside of the unit, rather than more direct methods like, for example, spraying a mug of ale with liquid nitrogen. Which would work great, but would be horribly dangerous to trust to the public.

There once was a cooler given away by Marlboro that used to heat food (or keep it warm) or also keep things cool too. It was really neat. I had it for about two years. It plugged into your car lighter.

Closest thing they have is what is called a flash chiller, it's a fast supercold refrigerator/freezer
