If you're talking about Vancouver, Washington, you could go to the website for the Columbian (Vancouver's major newspaper) and check the classifieds there.

I have used craigslist. It is absolutely awesome and taking the classifieds by storm. Even realtors rely on it. Check it very regularly. Otherwise, if Vancouver is not in on it much, find out what the best selling paper is in Vancouver (easy internet search) and go to their website. Register if you must and check their classifieds.
