My parents were married at 20 and have been married for 37 years. My sister was married at 22 and has been married for 11 years. It is not for me. I am about to get married and I am 29. If I would have gotten married at her age, to the type of person I was drawn to back then...I would be miserable or divorced by now. I have changed so much between then and now.

It really depends on you and your partners maturity and level of commitment. Only time will tell. If you are ready...you should know. The same goes if you are not ready.

I got married at 22. He was 27. After 16 years we are still OK. no regrets. We were together for two years before we got married, and have 2 kids. If you are a responsible type of person and has thought about what marriage is about (team work, open communications, and a lot of mutual understanding to name a few) go ahead and have a lovely time.

At 23, wow, you are just starting to live your life. And if ever you decided to get married, then you will be restricted to date someone else. Why hurry? Did you know that HASTE MAKES WASTE. Unless you truly truly love this guy and you just can't last a day without him, then there's really nothing wrong with getting married. Apparently, it all depends on you.

Nothing wrong with it, but if you wait until you are 25 the chance of getting a divorce drops by 24%. Also wait to have children until being married for a year. This will help the divorce statics go in you favor.

Got married when I was 23 and it lasted until he died, after 19 years. It's something that both people have to be on board for, it can't be a partial commitment on one side. Some people can do it and others can't... Good luck!

No, there's nothing wrong with it. I got married when I was 22 and I had already been with my husband for 4 years, gotten a college degree and traveled around the world. What would you wait for?

Not at all!. As long as there is love, trust, and understanding, between you and your lady (if your talking about you),then that's the first step,in a healthy, stable marriage. You must also be financially able to take on this responsibility, for with marriage comes kids, home, bills, and other obligations. If your planning to get married, then I wish you and your new bride all the happiness, that God has enstored for you!
