i was watching tv the other day and this question popped up in my head....... what is obscene about a woman's breast---- the breast itself, the nipple, what part? i ask this because everytime someone on regular daytime television (or anything else not considered porn,lol) "covers" themselves up, that simply means not showing the nipple. for example, LiL Kim(female rapper known for her skanky clothing) appeared on the MTV music award a few years back in which she wore a dress that had one of her breast completely out, but, the nipple had a sniny purple jewel thing on it, so her breast was not blurred out and it was taped in advance(not like the janet thing at the super bowl..). that is just one example, there are so many more..... the point is what part of our(women) breast is obscene?

It's the nipple. Which begs the question, if nipples are obscene, why can men go shirtless?
A related story: Many years ago a friend was busted for going topless on a Santa Cruz beach. The above statement was her argument; and the judge ruled in her favor, so for a while it was legal to go topless in Santa Cruz.

The nipple is considered to be more obscene. I have no idea why. Some people complain when they see a mother breastfeeding her child in public. Again, I have no idea why.

It's funny because the one part, the nipple, which both genders share, is "obscene".
Ironically, its the beautiful curvature of the breast itself that is uncensored and left to invoke promiscuous thought.

ive wondered that same damn thing...but what i dont get is on the discovery channels and education channels....they show the nipple and everything.....no offense...but if third world country women can show there breasts (nipple and all) on American TV.....then why cant American women show theirs??
Also, I dont understand how we cant show things like that...if its to protect the kids watching then they are far from helping....kids start learning sex ed in the 4th grade!!!
Whats better..seeing it on tv, or letting your 10 year old kid see it in his face...I think if parents and tv stations used the parental guides and locks better, then us adults might be able to watch some entertaining tv!!
of course...if boobs were allowed on tv without censorship, i might not be able to ever get my husband to turn the damn tv off!!
