I am looking for a good story to read, I like books like The Da Vinci Code, Schindler list, any ideas?
Keep in mind that I live in Brazil so a very recent book wont be avaliable here.

I so totally love Robert A. Heinlein. If you like a little religion with your reading, start with "Stranger in a Strange Land" or "Job: A comedy of justice"
Other great ones are "The Cat Who Walked through Walls", "To Sail beyond the Sunset", "I will Fear no Evil". There's a whol lot of them - he's the best. These were published some time ago - should be easy to get (particularly through amazon or some such).
Peace!

Have you read Silence of the lambs and Red Dragon by Thomas Harris?
I love the Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, but it's not the same genres as you suggested. Look it up online and see if you like the sound of it though. I read it in a day, really enraptured.
