All of the previous answers are promoting speculation as fact. Here's the real fact:
Nintendo has officially said that the Wii will cost "less than $250" (actually, they gave the price in Japanese yen, but $250 is the equivalent). Some rumors (based on scans of a magazine somewhere in Europe) gave the price as low as $160. So the fact of the matter is, the price will be less than $250, and probably no lower than $160. I'm personally betting on about $199 as the price. Not only is this a good price for the Wii (it hits the real sweet spot, not only in comparison to the other consoles, but also because it puts it in the realm of impulse purchase), but also because Nintendo has a history of releasing consoles for that price. I don't recall the GameCube off the top of my head, but I know both the N64 and the SNES debuted at $199.
