No, myspace shouldn't be destroyed. Instead parents should pay more attention to their children and make sure they are aware of the dangers of meeting people from onlien in person. When I was younger I knew better than to meet a person from online in person, without a big group of people around us. People you meet online are still strangers until you've seen them in person, and children need to be taught that!

No myspace should not be destroyed... parents should pay attention to their children... i mean honestly, wtf? If I pick up a CD and it has a parental advisory sticker on it and then I look at the names of the songs and they all have stars in them where the cuss words are... is it the singer's fault that my child is listening to this? PLEASE PEOPLE!
The better question is why do americans run away from responsibility and expect other people to take the blame? Myspace is not a babysitting service and it is not their job to make sure YOUR KIDS are safe. You need to wonder why your child is on myspace at 14 years old dressed like a whore with pictures of her *** hanging out of her skirt or naked and holding her boobs begging for attention....

SO NO! They should not get rid of myspace. They should start prosecuting parents for neglect because obviously they are not paying attention...

Absolutely not! If you were to look into it, there are just as many weirdos living in your state, county, city, and even your very own neighborhood! Do you think that they should get rid of those too?!

I realize the danger that is associated with myspace, but I don't think the answer is elimination. The answer, as always, is in education. We should be teaching our children proper nettiquette. Just like we teach them not to cross the street or not to touch a hot stove, we should also be teaching them how to handle themselves on the internet!

theres no practical benefit in closin it down ....there are many others built on the same lines..i think its easier if the risks and the dangers of such sites are highlighted....its better if people are aware of the risks and dangers of being associated with such sites cos then the people would have to make a choice consciously whether thay want to be a part of such a site ,fully aware of what is to be expected..for those who like myspace it wud still be beneficial cos it would definitely protect them..knowledge certainly is power

No. We shouldn't get rid of it. I know that there are alot of perverts and child molestors on it and sexual predators but I believe that the parents should keep their young ones from going on the site and acting like adults when they aren't. The parents should be responsible for what is being shown to their kids. Not all of America and not the websites. They build websites and put an age restriction on it and so it should be the parents that are watching the kids more carefully.

I feel as though there needs to be something done with the site, but not shutting it down. They need to be some supervision going on with in the site, etc. Also, people need to edit their content although that does not always work b/c ppl can geth your info from simple bits. Well, shutting it down would not be such a bad thing b/c it is not monitored well enough.

I don't think so, it is a really good way of keeping on touch with people. It may be unsafe if people misuse it, but there is a setting to make your profile private. I think it is too popular to be destroyed.

Yea I think that its very dangerous to like many teenagers even though its fun. I don't think it should be totally destroyed but she have more security and ask more important questions before letting everyone sign on. But i think its fun and kool, but very unsafe.
