It's safe, yes, provided you rinse them well...more to keep the flavor from tasting like joy or dawn....look at it this way, the plate or bowl you are going to put the fruit on was washed by the same soap - and it hasn't killed ya yet =)

I would think no. You'd need warm water to be sure you'd removed all the soap residue, and that wouldn't be too good for the food.

There are special soaps made specifically for washing vegetables and fruits.

I in reality wash mine in water, even though it style of is wise that they use cleansing soap. yet, i does no longer prefer to eat, say, a pear and get a mouthful of cleansing soap. i'm better demanding about insecticides than human beings touching the fruit. And maximum fruit is washed on the packing plant.

Try a natural vegetable oil soap like Castile soap instead.

I don't think so because I think the soap leaves behind residue on the food. While it probably won't kill you, it will probably get someone sick. Running water is what is required at my work and I cook.

seems like it'd be hard to get it all rinsed off .... sometimes I wash my hands with it, and it seems to leave a film, and hard to get off.
